I value the input of all people, welcoming different perspectives from my own. I enjoy working with people from diverse backgrounds, ethnicities, and gender identities. I also try to offer sliding scale fees when possible to make sure my services are available to as many people as possible.
When I can, I make every effort to hire clinicians and contractors with diverse background to work behind the scenes in my business. Diversity in my co-workers is something I treasure, and I think that when given the opportunity, the sum of all peoples’ perspectives is what we need to make the world a better place for all.
I appreciate the opportunity to witness your growth and support you through it. I see you as the expert on yourself and myself as your partner in your journey toward recovery. I think an environment of mutual respect goes a long way toward fostering a positive working relationship.
I donate a portion of my profits toward environmental and human rights charities because I think it is important to help those less fortunate. I also use electronic charting to save paper and buy environmentally-friendly products to use in the office. I balance my carbon footprint by using only transportation from electric sources.
All clinical staff continue to foster their own learning plans throughout the year so we are continuously learning to provide you the most up to date information on how we can best help you.
I are not here to tell you what the answer is but to help guide you to the answer you seek. However, if you would like a more direct approach, I offer that, as well. I balance sharing honesty with compassion for your situation.
I support antiracist organizations financially and through volunteering to help tear down racist systems and ideas. I also continue to educate myself on antiracist principles and speak with people of color about their experiences so I can better understand how I can continue my commitment towards antiracism. I believe that together we can make a more equitable world for all.
